How can we understand increasingly complex systems, make better decisions, and push scientific simulations to entirely new scales? The answers increasingly lie at the intersection of HPC, simulation, AI, and advanced mathematical methods.
From September 14-17, 2026, the NHR Conference ’26 will bring together HPC users and the NHR centers in Paderborn. The conference provides a platform to present research projects, exchange ideas through contributed talks and poster sessions, and connect directly with the consulting and operations teams of the NHR centers.
The team from NHR4CES will be there to discuss all the news from the Lichtenberg HPC system and CLAIX, the HPC system in Aachen.
This year’s conference is organized in cooperation with the Paderborn Center for Parallel Computing (PC2) and focuses on the following three topics:
- HPC-Driven Decision Science: Optimization, Simulation, and AI for Economics and Management
- Advances in Atomistic Simulations
- Low and Mixed-Precision Computing for Simulation and AI
The NHR Conference ’26 is more than a platform for presenting research results. It is the place to be to connect disciplines, spark new collaborations, and bring researchers into direct dialogue with HPC experts and NHR centers. Whether through a contributed talk, a poster, or a conversation over coffee, the conference offers opportunities to share your work, discover new perspectives, and explore what becomes possible when scientific questions meet cutting-edge computing.
