Biography
Dr. rer. nat. Ahmad Tarraf earned his Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics at the Rafik Hariri University in Meshref, Lebanon in 2013. In the same year, he began his Master’s degree with a specialization in “Simulation and Control”, during which he worked at Continental in Frankfurt on improving autonomous driving and control. He completed his Master’s degree in 2016 with his thesis on “Vehicle Guidance & Control with Special Consideration to Disturbances”.
Following his studies, he joined Goethe University in Frankfurt as a researcher in “Formal Verification and Hardware Design” at the design methodology group. In 2021, he completed his Ph.D. with a dissertation on “Formal Abstraction and Verification of Analog Circuits”.
From 2021 onwards, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher in High-Performance Computing (HPC) at TU Darmstadt at the HPC lab. In October 2026, he will complete his habilitation with his dissertation focusing on “Performance Modeling and Adaptive Optimization for Data-Intensive High-Performance Computing”.
In September 2026, Ahmad joined NHR4CES, where he is responsible for the HKHLR and NHR project coordination at TU Darmstadt.
