Sofa talks, Bof sessions, tutorials: We are delighted that our experts from NHR4CES will once again be attending the ISC High Performance conference this year!
As in previous years, NHR4CES will be represented at the NHR booth (J10) alongside the other NHR centers, and we look forward to valuable exchanges within the community.

Christian Terboven, PI of our CSG Parallelism and Performance will kick off our ISC activities on Monday, June 22,2026, 9.00 am – 1 pm with his half day tutorial “Mastering Tasking with OpenMP 6.0”.
Christian Terboven, PI of our CSG Parallelism and Performance will also host his half day tutorial “Advanced OpenMP: Performance and 6.0 Features” on Monday, June 22, 2026 from 2.00 pm – 6.00 pm.


Tim Gerrits, member of our CSG Visualization, will host a sofa talk for the fourth (!) time at ISC High Performance computing. He will host this session and is expecting international visualization experts to talk about current developments and trends in the community. Visit his sofa talk to join the discussion!
Interested in Green Computing and HPC system energy efficiency? Join Christian Wassermann from NHR4CES at the BOF session “The Green 500: Trends in Energy-Efficient Supercomputing” on Wednesday, June 24, 2026.


Marc-André Hermanns, who is part of the NHR4CES training team, will host our second sofa talk during ISC. Join him und his guests to talk about coordinated HPC training materials development. The place to be on Thursday, June 25, 2026, 12.00 am – 1.00 pm.
The topic of Green Computing and HPC system energy efficiency will also be discussed at the NHR booth. Join Christian Wassermann from NHR4CES and other colleagues from different NHR centers, when they talk about energy-aware data centers on Thursday, June 25, 2026 from 1.30 pm to 2.30 pm.


We are proud to announce that Marcel Krüger and Tim Gerrits, members of our CSG Visualization, are organizing the 10th Workshop on In Situ Visualization (WOIV).
Christian Wassermann, who is part of the NHR future project “Energy efficiency and operational costs in High Performance Computing”, will hold a lightning talk about “Facilitating Flexible Scheduling With Flexible Workloads”.
