Marcel Krüger and Tim Gerrits from our CSG Visualization are spending three months in Japan as part of a research exchange between the NHR Alliance and the JHPCN (Joint Usage/Research Center forInterdisciplinary Large-scale Information Infrastructures. They are staying at the University of Tokyo in the Information Technology Center in the lab of Prof. Takashi Shimokawabe.
During their stay, they’ll dive into Japanese science, culture, and High Performance computing – building connections, visualization tools, and exploring opportunities for future collaborations. This international exchange is made possible through a joint initiative by the NHR Association and JHPCN, which supports researchers in starting new collaborations or strengthening existing ones.
Join us here – and on Instagram – as we follow Marcel’s and Tim’s journey through labs, cities, and everyday life in Japan.
